Turn it Over Ulster County!
For the November 4, 2025 General Election every Ulster County Ballot will include propositions located on the back. Please remember to turn it over and vote both sides of your ballot. Below is a summary of each question:

(New York State) PROPOSAL NUMBER ONE, AN AMENDMENT
Amendment to Allow Olympic Sports Complex in Essex County on State Forest Preserve Land
Allows skiing and related trail facilities on state forest preserve land. The site is 1,039 acres. Requires State to add 2,500 acres of new forest land in Adirondack Park.
A yes vote authorizes new ski trails and related facilities in the Adirondack forest preserve.
A no vote does not authorize this use.

TOWN OF HURLEY PROPOSITION:
Shall the term of office of the Town Highway Superintendent of the Town of Hurley be increased from two (2) years to four (4) years commencing with and continuing after the term to begin on January 1, 2026?

MARLBOROUGH TOWN PROPOSITION:
Shall the term of office of the Town Supervisor of the Town of Marlborough be increased from two years to four years commencing January 1, 2026?

NEW PALTZ TOWN PROPOSITION:
“Shall the annual contribution of the Town of New Paltz provided in its budget for the Elting Memorial Library, a free association library, located at New Paltz, New York, be increased by seventy-five thousand ($75,000) dollars annually to eight-hundred forty-four thousand ($844,000) dollars annually?”

OLIVE TOWN PROPOSITION:
Shall the annual contribution of the Town of Olive for the operating budget of the Olive Free Library Association be increased from $193,142 annually to $289,642 annually?

ROCHESTER TOWN PROPOSITIONS:
- Shall the local law entitled “Local Law 4 of 2025 of the Town of Rochester, New York,” entitled “Extension of Term for Town Supervisor,” from 2 year term to 4 year term be approved?
- Shall the local law entitled “Local Law 6 of 2025 of the Town of Rochester, New York,” entitled “A Local Law Imposing a Real Estate Transfer Tax”, creating a tax of one-percent (1%) to be paid by purchasers of non-exempt real property on the conveyance of interests in real property in the Town of Rochester, with such proceeds to be deposited into the Town of Rochester Community Preservation Fund, for the purpose of preserving natural, scenic, historic, and open space resources within the town, be approved?

SHANDAKEN TOWN PROPOSITION:
“Shall the Town of Shandaken increase its annual contribution for the operating budget of the Morton Memorial Library by nineteen thousand seven hundred fifty ($19,750) dollars to the sum of seventy-nine thousand nine hundred seventy-five ($79,975) dollars annually; and shall the Town of Shandaken increase its annual contribution for the operating budget of the Phoenicia Library by thirty four thousand seven hundred fifty ($34,750) dollars to the sum of two hundred thirty-four thousand five hundred ($234,500) dollars annually?”

The election district is listed on the left hand side of the sample ballot, i.e. County of Ulster ED: City of Kingston Ward 1-Dist. 1. All ballots are two sided, remember to view both sides of the ballot. One side contains all public offices that list eligible candidates, the other side contains all ballot propositions.
Ulster County Sample Ballots are grouped together by sheet number and ballots styles. Note that each ballot style is two pages to reflect both the candidates for office on side 1 and the propositions on side 2.
