Why can’t I vote in a Primary Election even though I changed my party enrollment?

Primary elections are only for voters registered in the party of the election contest.  Party enrollment changes are effective immediately except during a window of time prior to each June Primary Election.  In 2021, that period is from February 14, 2021 through June 28, 2021.  Any change of party enrollment made between Feb. 15-June 28th, shall be effective on June 29th.

To change your party enrollment, you must complete a new voter registration form.
